Vanara Gita – praise of Hanuman from Parasara Samhita

Vanara Gita is a collection of hymns composed in praise of Hanuman by 38 Vanaras in Kishkinda.
This narrated by Maharshi Agastya to all Rishis in presence of Indra and is written as part of Parasamra Samhita, which has complete details about Hanuman, his different avatars and mantras.
Marashi Parasara later narrated this to Sage Maitreya.

Translation : Parasara says, Listen Maitreya, this Vanara Geetha is a praise of Hanuman by various Vanaras.
This is the best stotra (praising hymn) which describes Hanuman in detail, removes all fear, illusions, physical and mental illness.
For the benefit of world, Indra for this and Agastya narrated it in front of all rishis.
Indra asks, O Maharshi.. please let us know how to cross this ocean of Samsara (materialistic world), which is not easy for people with polluted senses.
Agastya says, Vanaras with pure mind praised Hanuman. When people with clear mind read this Vanara Gita, they cross this ocean and reach hanuman easily.

Dāso yam ithi mām mathwa kshamaswa parameshwara

Meaning : O Supreme Lord! I have been committing thousands of wrongdoings. Treating me as your servant, please forgive and protect me.

Each of these fleshy fruits is exactly identical in shape and in sweetness. (The same essence flows through all the fleshy fruits within the jackfruit). Likewise, all these manifold forms seen in the universe are forms of that non-dual Lord.
